New Delhi: Special cells of the Delhi Regional Police have arrested four people on charges of drug trafficking and won 12kg Heroin worth Rs 50 Crore in the international market.
The smuggler was allegedly created a secret cavity under their truck footing to hide drug packages.
The truck and several cellphone handsets used by the defendant were confiscated.
According to DCP (Special Cell) Sanjeev Yadav, the people who were arrested were identified as Mohammad Abdur Razzak and Mohammad Idrish Ali from Manipur, Sachin from Delhi and Shehnawaj from Bareilly.
Razzak is a syndicate head and comes from Manipur’s Thouugal.
Many large cartel members and raids are being carried out to arrest them.
The defendant was also alleged to tell the police how the heroin was pumped into the northern countries of the country from Myanmar, taking advantage of international boundary porosity.
“The main supplier in Manipur will collect raw materials to prepare heroin from a hilly area from the border area along with some parts of Manipur who are affected by militants around Saikul and Thouugal.
Opium is illegally cultivated in the parts, which is processed into a form of pure heroin In emergency laboratories and transported to various parts of India, “said DCP YADAV.
For the past 3-4 years, this cartel transported a large shipment of heroin to Bareilly from Manipur for further distribution in Delhi, Uttar Pradesh and other parts of the country.
The syndicate was finally damaged after a team of the northern range, which consisted of ACP Jasbir Singh and others, received information about cartels operating on routes and drugs driven using trucks.
On Thursday, the police received information about the movement of the one truck in Rajapuri and put a trap.
Two suspects were arrested with 10kg heroin.
The other two, including Razzak Kingpin, were arrested in North Delhi at the other end.
Shahnawaj told the police that he would travel in his truck to the Manipur and Assam hilly area, especially Guwahati, to get heroin from Razzak and his men.
Meanwhile, Razzak claimed to have established a link with drug suppliers in Myanmar, an illegal producer of opium in Manipur and drug sellers operating above and Delhi and organizing inter-state drug cartels.
He used to accept a large consignment of a rough heroin from Myanmar.
When the border area is not fenced and dense forests are along the boundary, so the supplier of Manipur easily crosses the border and enters Myanmar to buy rough heroin from suppliers.
The police also explained that Myanmar’s rough heroin had superior quality and cheaper than heroin produced in India.
That is why the drug produced by Myanmar is very popular internationally.
