New Delhi: Five people from “Gang Irani” were arrested for a month after they were suspected of posing as CBI officials and escaped with a gold chain weighing 300 grams from the jewelry store here by reason of checking the employee’s bag, police said.
Allegations – Mohammad Ali (52), Mohammad Keti (45), Anwar Ali (45), Shoukat Ali Jafari (55), and Mukhtiyar Hussain (35) – Hail from Bhopal Madhya Pradesh, they said.
They are declared “proclaiming perpetrators” and also sought in cases of efforts to kill and other similar cheating cases, they added.
Influenced by Bollywood Flick “Special 26”, the defendant assigned a crime.

The incident took place on June 27 in the Karol Bagh area when the gold chain weighed 300 grams was struck by gang members disguised as CBI officers and fled with employees of jewelry shop employees with the pretext of inspection bags, according to the police.
After scanning through CCTV cameras installed in and along the route, five accused identified.
Technical and manual surveillance was installed as part of an investigation, police said.
“During the investigation, passenger data from the IRCTC collected showed that on June 26, a total of five accused of arriving in Delhi from Bhopal and they had booked their return tickets for June 30.
