Delhi: 637 death in 27 days, but it’s not just covid

New Delhi: Death because Covid-19 has touched 25,744 in Delhi, the fifth highest victim in the country after Maharashtra, Kerala, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.
In the last 27 days, there were 637 deaths in the city, with a viral infection that claimed the average of 24 lives a day.
On Thursday, the city recorded 34 fresh deaths even as a daily calculation of Covid-19 cases reduced to 4,291, the lowest in three weeks.

The analysis of Covid’s deaths reported in the state between January 13 and January 25, which was presented at the Delhi Disaster Management Authority Meeting on Thursday, confirmed this.
It shows that in 439 Covid patients’ deaths in the last 13 days, Coronavirus infection is the main cause of death only in the case of 94 (21%).
These include 60 people who are not vaccinated.
In 318 of 439 deaths, Covid was only incidental findings, which meant the patient was accepted for other serious medical conditions but also found as a positive corona.
There are at least eight fatalities associated with Covid in individuals who have met with accidents or suffering burns or some kind of trauma.
“The omicron variant, which is responsible for the third wave, usually causes mild symptoms.
That is why more than 80% of covid hospital beds are empty despite the high incidence of the disease,” said Dr.
Arun Gupta, President, Delhi Medical Council.
“Most people report symptoms such as fever, cold and cough which tend to subside in three to four days.
Some people, most of them are not vaccinated and people with underlying medical conditions, suffer from severe symptoms that need hospitalization.
Death also occurs On a small subset of this patient.
“Delhi currently has 33,157 Covid active cases, data issued by the government shows, 2,028 received in various hospitals.
There are 699 patients in oxygen support and other 142 in ventilator support.
Compared to the second wave, hospitalization was significantly lower in the ongoing waves.
