The police recorded 6,712 cases like that last year, while 1,442 registered violations until March 31 this year.
The majority of violations – 70% or 1047 cases – occur because of loudspeakers and public announcement systems that do not hold the specified noise standards.

The Delhi pollution control committee (DPCC) recently told a new set of fine restrictions for noise related violations, which could rise to Rs 1 lakh, if the standard of noise specified was not obeyed.
While the use of loudspeakers or public address systems beyond the allowable boundaries can withdraw a fine of RS 10,000, the DG set that is too hard can bring a fine of Rs 10,000 to Rs 1 Lakh.
Hard construction equipment means it can withdraw a fine of Rs 50,000, while there is a fine of Rs 1,000 if the firecrackers explode do not comply with the permanent limit.
A senior DPCC official said they were in the process of compiling data for the remaining 2021, which included the latest fine.
“After compiled, we will know the biggest source and whether a fine increase or not have reduced the number of cases or not,” the official said.
