New Delhi: IGI Airport Police have arrested seven people for alleged trying to travel to England on fake documents.
One agent has also been arrested in connection with the incident.

“The agent has been identified as a PANKAJ alias Kamal, a resident of Bhadohi District in Uttar Pradesh,” said DCP (airport) Sanjay Tyagi.

During the supervision of their travel documents at the hostel gate, it was found that their boarding passes fake.
“It was found that their names were not reflected in the last PAX manifest from the Al-133 flight travel chart,” said DCP Tyagi.
The passengers revealed that they had bought their boarding passes, RT-PCR test reports and OK to send letters to join two Delhi Krishna and Kamal-based agents after making RS 12.00,000 payment for each person.
During interrogation, it was also revealed that all of these passengers will go to England as a sailor on the CDC (continuous release certificate) approved by DG India shipping.
The passengers were also asked to destroy their certificates and seek asylum from the British government as soon as they were there, the officer said.
During the investigation, the police found the PANKAJ and arrested him.
According to the police, the role of several airline staff who might have tried to encourage passengers to travel with fake boarding tickets also under the scanner.
PANKAJ is a graduate of BTECH (Automobile) that regulates visas / passports in an unfair way, police said.
The arrested passengers have been identified as Armandeep Singh, Amritpal Singh, Jagdeep Singh, Gurwinder Singh, Rahul Jangra, Deepak and Manbeer.
