New Delhi: A eight-year-old girl allegedly raped by two boys, both of whom were 11 years old, in the new area of Usmanpur in the Northeast Delhi on Monday afternoon.
The girl, who underwent surgery at a government hospital after suffering a serious injury, was shifted from the ICU to Ward on Tuesday.
Police said the two teenagers had been arrested.
According to complaints submitted by the girl, the child sat outside his house around 2pm, Monday when a boy in the neighborhood approached him and lured him with the pretext of playing with him.
He allegedly took him to his uncle’s house where he was, along with his friend, raping the minor, police said.
The two boys allegedly threatened the girl with terrible consequences and escaped.
When the girl returned home at around 4:30 p.m., she complained of severe abdominal pain and narrated her trials to her mother.
The child, who was swelled and suffered an injury all over his body, rushed to the hospital.
After counseling by the Child Welfare Committee, he was sent for medical examinations, which confirmed rape.
“The case below section 363 (kidnapping) and 376-AB (punishment for rape in women under 12 years) from IPC and Section 6 Pocso Law (Penetratived Sexual Assault) has been registered in adolescents at the New Usmanpur Police Station.

Meanwhile, the Delhi Commission for women, who received information about the incident through the 181st Women’s Helpline, on Tuesday issued a notification to police Delhi who was looking for details of FIR and the people accused so far.
