Delhi: ‘balloon seller’ was held with 20 new pistols

New Delhi: Delhi Police Team on Saturday claimed to have arrested a man and recovered from him 20 pistols he planned to supply to the criminal gang in the capital.
The man who was arrested was identified as Mufeed Khan, a 27-year-old Mathura district.
He disguised as a balloon seller to avoid the police.
Khan was previously ordered in cases of ARM acting and trying to kill in Uttar Pradesh.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (Dwarka) Santosh Kumar Meena said that since the Republic of this year, was being noticed that Delhi often accepted inventory of firearms from other state.
“Most inventories come from Burhanpur and other regions side by side in Madhya Pradesh.
It was also found that criminals designed new ways to disguise and mislead the police for carrying out their activities without interruption,” he said.
On Friday, information was accepted that criminals with a large consignment of a gun will come to Delhi.
Trap laid and the suspect looks carrying a few balloons and bags.
When he was asked to give up to look for, he tried to escape waving a gun on the police team.
“He was quickly controlled and stripped and the gun was found loaded with four live rounds.
When checking his bag, 19 newly restored pistols and nine balloon packages were also found,” Meena said.
“He said that the consignment was intended to be used near the independence day in Delhi-NCR.”
