New Delhi: Water Minister Satyendar Jain visited a natural waste treatment plant (STP) in Drain Ghoga on Tuesday.
He directed the official concerned to increase the water treatment capacity of 10 latris per day up to 50 latriters per day.
Jain said, “STP is based on a wetland system built and treated 10 liters of waste water per day without electricity or additional power.
The water treatment capacity of STP must be increased to 50 lakh liters per day.
Recycled water will be used to fill Repeat the ground water by making a lake in the adjacent area.
“The minister also examined the area around Lake Sannoth in Bawana.

The Minister also instructed Delhi State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (DSIIDC) and Irrigation & Flood Control Department officials (I & FC) to cleanse the escape drain, which has a 680 cusec design debit capacity.
This channel cleaning task will be carried out together by DSIIDC and the I & FC department.
“DSIIDC will ensure that no untreated or invalid water channels fall into the Escape channel, while the I & FC department will ensure that the quality of existing water flowing to the waterways must be increased to meet the parameters set by the National Green Court.
