New Delhi: The economic violation of Police Delhi Wing has arrested a man based on Bengaluru for allegedly deceiving a city entrepreneur more than Rs 10 Crore with the pretext of selling radioactive plates.
The plate will take around Rs 500 Crore in the international market, the victim was told.
The man who was arrested was identified as Atheq Ahmad.
The police have begun investigated after receiving complaints from a businessman based in East Kailash from Southeast Delhi.
In his complaint, the victim alleged that the gang of 22 people, including Ahmad, had cheated him Rs 10.6 Crore between March 2016 and September 2018 to facilitate the procurement and sales of radioactive articles.
“Victims were induced to invest in facilitation of this agreement on the guarantee of RS 500 Crore’s profit.
The deceased number was taken by accusing people through bank transfers, checks and cash at several stages,” said CP RK Singh.
After a preliminary investigation, FIR Registered and the team formed to investigate.
Based on further probes, a team led by DCP Mohammad Ali arrested Ahmad from Bengaluru.
Investigation for the NAB accused of being underway, the police said.
