New Delhi: A 41-year-old businessman and his friend was sent off, held in Gunpoint in the car and was robbed at East Delhi’s Vihar.
The police said the incident occurred on the Flyur Vihar Flyover and a registered case.
The Yadav Pankaj victim, who lives in Chawri Bazar, will return home from Noida on Friday with a friend in his car.
“Around 10pm when I arrived at the Mayur Vihar Flyover, a motorcycle appeared out of nowhere and tried to stop my car,” Yadav said.
As soon as Yadav stopped to ask about this problem, he and his friend pulled out of the vehicle by men on the motorbike.
More men joined them, and about 8-10 people began to beat them.
“The people claimed that I hit their friend’s bicycle, but it was a lie.
I took out my cellphone to call the police, but they grabbed it with my wallet,” Yadav told the police.
“They took my car keys and made me and my friend sat behind.
They then took us to isolated housing colonies and looked for our belongings,” the victim said.
The robbers allegedly stole Rs 37,000 of them and struggled Yadav to force him to move them more money to them in online mode.
“I repeatedly entered the wrong UPI password because they became frustrated and broke the windshield of my car, grabbed my smartwatch and slapped us again,” he added.
One of the robbers turned off their cellphone and threw it behind the car.
However, Yadav and his friend managed to escape from robbers and managed to make PCR calls.
“We are very horrified, panic and trembling because of fear and anger but can’t do anything,” he said.
A senior officer from the Eastern District said they had registered a case, and further investigation was underway.
“We scan the CCTV recording area,” said a police officer.
