New Delhi: Head of Delhi BJP Adesh Gupta, opposition leader Delhi Ramvir Singh Bidhuri and other BJP Delhi leaders will start ‘Jhuggi Yatra’ from Friday in an attempt to connect with the selection of slum houses in front of 2022 Polls Municipal.
The party has conducted similar exercises ahead of the 2017 City poll where the party believes the election dividends paid in polls and BJP won the poll for the third term in a row.
Gupta said party leaders would hold a dialogue with people living in various slums during the ‘JHuggi Yatra’ which will start from Moti Nagar.
“Actually, we will talk to the head of Jhuggis, women other than other people there, listen to their problems such as water, sewers and other basic infrastructure problems, and try to solve them for their satisfaction,” Gupta said.
Bidhuri said the central government had brought many schemes to make the lives of poor people better.
“There are around 700 slums in the capital place around 20 lakh people live.
We want to make their lives better.
The Government of Narendra Modi has provided various schemes for them such as Pradhan Mantri Garib Kalyan Yojana, YOJNA, PM Street Vendor’s Atmanirbhar Nidhi (PM Svanidhi) To empower street vendors by giving them loans for Rs to Rs 10000 so that they can depend on them.
We will make the residents of the slums realize it and help them get the benefits of this scheme, “Bidhuri said.
Bidhuri claims that the AAP government has promised rehabilitation to the residents of slums when in power but thousands of flats have been built with the help of the central government, but they have not been allocated to the residents of slums.
“Thousands of slums inhabitants do not have a ration card and they also don’t get a ration intended for poor people without a ration card,” said Bidhuri.
Gupta said the AAP government had made many promises to residents of slums, but failed to take concrete steps to fulfill it.
“Our goal is to provide slum and respectful insults,” Gupta said.
Soluh residents play a key role in influencing the results of city selection in several 272 city wards.
Occupants of the slum regarded as AAP voting bank.
BJP tried to win their hearts and took them to the side before the poll.
At the first leg of Yatra BJP, we will cover 33 assembly constituencies between October 15 to November 29.
Head of Delhi Media BJP Naveen Kumar Jindal said that Yatra will continue in a different phase until all slums are closed.
