New Delhi: The city building has been decorated with thematic murals, Metro pillars decorated with images of various forms of Indian dance and martyrnial commemorations enhancing in Delhi to mark the 75th year of Indian independence.
Three civil bodies in the national capital – North, South and East corporate, have come up with a number of activities as part of the ongoing Azadi Celebration of Azadi Amrit Mahotsav.
From school buildings to hospital structures and parks for the public roundabout, thematic decorations have been made to mark the opportunity.
“To commemorate the 75 years of India Progressive and Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, SDMC has beautified the corporate building, metro pillars, schools, parks and roundabouts with murals and other artwork,” said a senior official.
The Civic Agency makes the city more beautiful and cleaner through the ‘Swachhta’ campaign, they said.
South Delhi Municipal Corporation has done a beauty drive in all of its fourth zone.
The South Zone also portrayed Peacock national birds through ART on the wall of a six-storey building of the SDMC home tax department on R Kuram, the official said.
The bird has been painted on a wall measuring 70 feet and 26 feet wide, and is a symbol of grace and beauty, he said.
As part of an effort towards environmental sustainability, SDMC has taken various initiatives to address the challenges of waste management, so they can build a sustainable country for the next generation of India.
In Taman Bharat Darshan who was recently inaugurated, ‘Unity Trees’ have been made using electric poles, tires and other hunting materials.
In addition, a Chariot was made of parts of the car’s body frame dumped in the upcoming Shaheedi Park.
In the Najafgarh zone, Cargil Chowk in Dwarka has been beautified.
The artif is newly painted, the adjacent garden wall has been painted in the Tricolor theme, and the board shows ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ has been installed, officials said.
In addition, several Metro pillars in the Najafgarh SDMC zone have been painted to describe the forms of Indian dances and rich cultural diversity.
Metro Delhi himself has also marked the opportunity by launching a specially decorated train at the night of the Republic.
The eight coach’s special train exterior has been closed exclusively and decorated with photo collages and slogans that describe the noble history of Indian, cultural and achievement in the last 75 years indicating the spirit of ‘Aatmnirbhar Bharat’, officials said.
The tri-color theme has been used for the body decoration of the coach and bear slogan such as ‘Atmanirbhar Bharat’ and ‘celebrates the 75 years of progressive India’.
In areas that fall under the corporate jurisdiction of North Delhi Municipal, the park has been tidied up and ‘Laghu Van’ (small forest) has been created in the past month, in various parts of the city.
In East Delhi, the local civil body recently made a thematic mural on the wall of Swami Dayanand Hospital, the only city facility in the region, as part of a warning celebration.
Pictures of freedom fighters such as Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose, Rani Laxmibai, Bhagat Singh and Chandrashekhar Azad were described, Edmc officials said.
Former president and Apj scientist Abdul Kalam have also paid tribute through artwork on the wall of the hospital, who also seeks to increase the level of sanitation for Swachh Survekshan 2022.
In South Delhi, the roundabout in Nizamuddin East in the central zone has also been beautified.
The path has been repaired and painted for pedestrian facilities.
The overhead cable in the circle has been removed and the grill and the limit has been painted again.
Flowers are widely used to beautify circles, and use flower petals, selfie boards have been placed in the roundabout, officials said.
In the South Zone, Qutub Chowk and Kailash Colony Roundaboutd have been beautified.
Bearing taglines bearing on waste management has been displayed.
A garden at the Central Market Punjabi Bagh and a park adjacent to Dabri’s flyover is also beautified.
In the park in the central market, the structure of the flag theme with the effect of light has been installed.
The signboard brings ‘I Love Delhi’ and ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ has been installed separately in both parks, officials said.
