There are 8,461 jhuggies in the area.
A scheme was prepared in 2011 for rehabilitation in situ three slum clusters gradually.
In the first phase, three hectares of land intended for the community center were used for the construction of 3,000 EWS houses.
The mainland area is exchanged in the Cross of Teacher Ravi Dass Road and Govindpuri Road and the scheme is prepared for the construction of the EWS house, where 93% of work is done and the project is likely to be completed next month.
The land emptied by shifting a slum cluster, measuring 20,460 square meters, and the land bulled by the remaining two JJ clusters, will be taken for rehabilitation in situ in PPP mode.
Enabled households will be given Flat Ews at RS 1.1 Lakh PLUS 30,000 payment as a five-year maintenance cost.
On Tuesday, DDA also agreed to relocate three slum clusters in the GP block in Pitampura, Kohat Enclave and Golden Park in Rampura, with around 2,068 households, to the Flat EWS in Bhalswa proposed to be obtained from Dusib.
“In the event of a deficiency or non-provision of flat flats, the residents of the slums will be transferred to the empty Flat Dda EWS in Pockets 1A, 1B and 1C, Narella.
The unity of the Ministry of Housing and Urban Affairs will be asked to give permission to move flat bhalswa to DDA , “DDA spokesman added.
