New Delhi: Chairman of Minister Delhi Arvind Kejriwal inaugurated five flagpots on the 75th Independence Day on Sunday.
The five high pole tricolors were installed in the east of Kidwai Nagar, Rani Bagh, Vinod Nagar Timur, Kalkaji and Dwarka by the Ministry of Public Works (PWD) under the ‘Dishbhakti budget’ Delhi government.
Kidwai Nagar Timur plunges on the head of the head of Arvind Kejriawal’s head which is New Delhi.

While unfurling a 115-foot high national flag in East Kidwai Nagar, Kejriwal remembered the anti-corruption movement led by Anna Hazare and said he, together with other people, waving the tricolor from the stage at Ramlila Ground during that time.
“Tricolor will continue to remind us of patriotism.
High pole flags will be installed in 500 locations throughout the city so that people can see the national flag every time they leave their homes,” Kejriwal said.
In March this year, the Delhi government has announced the annual budget to them with patriotism and named the ‘Dishbhakti budget’ where RS 45 Crore has been set aside to install high pole tricolor in 500 locations at the end of the year.
“From the 500 high pole flags, almost 30-40 will be high above 150 feet while the rest will be 115 feet.
The fresh tender has floated for the remaining 495 high tricolors,” said PWD official.
