New Delhi: Chairman of the Minister of Delhi Arvind Kejriwal together with his wife Sunita Kejriawal and the cabinet minister displayed Diwali Puja at the Thyagaraj Stadium from a stage modeled on the upcoming RAM in Ayodhya.
The “sophisticated” symbolic replica was magnificent and 80-ft-wide and 80 feet wide from Ram Mandir from Ayodhya was made especially at the Thyagraj Stadium for the celebration of “Dilli Ki Diwali”.
Wearing red maroon kurta by stealing gold, kejriawal, flanked by his wife Sunita, who wore olive green ‘sari’ ‘sari’ with a yellow mixture, leading the puja and doing rituals in the middle of ‘Shlokas’ by Acharya Shri Kant Shastri, Imam head from the temple Jhandewalan.
“The chairman of the Minister of Kejriwal led Diwali Puja with his wife Sunita Kejriwal when they pray for the peace and prosperity of Delhies and people in India,” the government said in a statement released after the celebration.
The entire Delhi government machine, including Deputy Minister of Manish Sisodia and the cabinet of the Minister of Satyendar Jain, Rajendra Pal Gautam, Imran Hussain, Kailash Gahlot and Gopal Rai and the speaker assembly of RAM Niwas Gelel gathered on their stage to do Diwali Puja.
Diwali Puja began with a classic dance performance by the classic dancer recorded by Geta Chandran at Ganesh Vandana, which captivated the audience.
“The whole city of Ayodhya has come to Delhi now.
So now let’s pray and welcome Duch Ram,” said Priest Shastri when he started a puja.
After more than 30 minutes Diwali Puja was concluded, the popular singer Bhajan Anuradha Paudwal and his daughter Kavita Paudwal read Mahalaxmi Aarti while Kejriwal and his wife did Aarti.
This celebration also sees cultural programs such as displaying animated films in Ramayan.
The giant screen is set behind the Ram Mandir’s replica to showcase film.
Rice traditional clothes, AAP MLA and leaders including Atishi, Saurabh Bhardwaj, Rakhav Chaddha, Rakhi Birla, among others, are also present in Puja.
Asanas (special platform for sitting) was made at the stadium for the audience.
Each Asana has “Puja Thaal” specifically to do rituals.
“The 30-foot-high replica of Ram Mandir and the beautiful picture of Ramayana is a show of shows throughout Delhi joining a live broadcast,” said the government in his statement.
Lately, Convement AAP has made a number calling the god of RAM in his speech and activities with his latest visit to Ayodhya earlier this week.
Kejriwal visited Ayodhya, the birthplace of Dewa Ram, offered his prayer and participated in Saryhu Aarti on the banks of the Saryu River.

Earlier this week, Kejriwal also announced entering Ayodhya on the Delhi government pilgrimage site.
He said the Delhi government would take senior citizens to pilgrimage to Ayodhya free of charge.
“The divine ceremony was broadcast live on the social media platform, along with various TV channels so that people from Delhi and throughout the country can gather to celebrate Lord Shri Ram’s legacy,” said the statement.
