Delhi Constable Hang Self in GZB Home, Family Dispute Allegedly

Ghaziabad: A Delhi police officer on Tuesday morning allegedly hung himself from the iron fence in his flat on Ved Vihar Colony in Loni.
His body was sent for post-mortem.Police suspected that family disputes could be the reason behind suicide.
According to the police, who died, was identified as Pravindra Kumar (34), owned by Shamli.
He used to live with his wife Monika (31) and two children.
Stone Sonkar, Circle Officer, Loni, said that Pravindra was on leave from Duty on Monday and should go to work on Tuesday.
Monika told the police that around 4am on Tuesday, her husband got up and went to another room adjacent to the bedroom.
“Around 7:30 a.m., Monika knocked on the door, but there was no answer.
After five minutes, he once again came to wake him up and knock but when he didn’t respond.
Somehow, he broke the door and found his body depending on Dupatta,” the officer added , Monika immediately lifted an alarm, after several neighbors came.
They then pulled the body and told the police.
“The body was handed over to members of the police family after post-mortem and the report was awaited.
The reason behind the death will be clear after the report comes.
Pravindra’s family has not registered a complaint to the police,” said the circle officer.
