New Delhi: Delhi Police Special Cells have arrested the main suspect in the murder case of a woman’s wrestler and her brother in Sonipat on Wednesday.
The defendant has been identified as coach of Pawan Barak alias, Rohtak residents in Haryana.
Confirming the arrest on Friday, Sanjeev Yadav, DCP (Cell Special), said together with a 25-year barracks, Sachin Dahiya, 23, who lived in Sonipat, had also been nabbed.
“They were arrested in Dwarka and had been handed over to the local police in Sonipat,” Yadav said.
There is a gift of Rs 1 lakh for the arrest of the suspect.
The police characterized the murder as a crime of passion, triggered by the woman to distance itself from married barracks.
In addition to the wrestler with other men as a motive, the barracks also have a loan, he must pay back money to his victim.
The police have recovered a licensed revolver from the barracks.
Sachin’s contracemature has a police record and has been arrested in the past because of the ownership of illegal weapons.
His wrestlers and siblings were shot dead allegedly by barracks at the training center in their Halalpur village in Sonīpat on Wednesday.
The mother was also shot by the barracks, who were responsible for the wrestling academy.
In critical conditions, he is in care at PGIMs, Rohtak.
Duo’s father is a paramilitary personnel who is currently deployed at Jammu & Kashmir.
According to the villagers, Barak held a franchise of the wrestling academy owned by the Winner of the Olympic Medal, Sushil Kumar.
Some said that the barracks first opened fire on the woman, a trainee there for about three years, and then brother and mother.
The young man died in place, while the mother suffered a sad injury.
When he escaped from the place, Barak took trouble taking DVR containing recordings from security cameras at the wrestling academy.
He met Sachin and escaped from his bicycle.
The police had previously arrested the wife of Sujata Barak and Brother-in-law Amit to be part of a conspiracy.
Police Sonipat has registered a case for murder, attempted murder, stalking and criminal intimidation.
