Delhi Cops to tighten check out imprisoned gangsters

NEW DELHI: After finding that the recent shooting incident in the city was planned by imprisoned criminals, Police Commissioner Delhi Rakesh Asthana had ordered hard action against gangsters operating from prison.
“Some organized gangs operate in Delhi guided by those who sit in prison.
Every time the incident comes to pay attention, they must be ordered after the right investigation,” the police chief said in his order.
After a recent meeting with brass police, Asthana also said, “If prison officials are found to help gangsters, they must be ordered based on part 120 B indian criminal codes for criminal conspiracies and thus charged.” Police source said the probe of the 10 cases reported last year founded that cellphones were used by prison prisoners to commit crimes.
A investigator explained to TOI that it was only with the help of a cellphone that could run their gangsters from prison.
“They use their social media platforms contact their colleagues outside the prison,” investigators said.
Other officers revealed that gangsters chat while playing online games.
“When the match ended, they removed the whole history,” he said.
COP TOP tells the Deputy Department of the Police Commissioner to formulate an effective strategy to prevent and detect cases where firearms are used.
“They must monitor these cases in everyday.
The interrogation of criminals arrested for using firearms must be comprehensive and must expose the names of weapons suppliers,” said the principal.
About how their inmates were on the phone, a prison official told TII, “Sometimes, colleagues of telephone on the prison wall to prisoners.
At another time, when detainees visit the hospital or court, they meet with their colleagues Those hiding in shoes, clothing, body, and avoiding the previous detection continued, “said the official.
“We also found many cases that cellphones were smuggled into prisons hidden in goods and articles entered the complex.” When asked who facilitated hiding cellphones in such items, officials replied that it could be anyone, maybe someone outside or even a prison staff member.
Sandeep Goel, DG (Tihar), said the authorities had taken a few steps to curb threats quickly and use a handheld metal detector or door.
“We held two X-Ray scanners throughout the body.
We also have a strong CCTV system in its place,” Goel said.
