New Delhi: 24,383 COVID-19 cases and 34 deaths were reported in the city on Friday even as a test level of testing soaring to 30.64%.
Despite the number of new cases fewer than on Thursday, the level of prospective is higher.
On Thursday, Delhi has reported 28.867 cases, the sharpest surge in the sharpest since the pandemic began, regardless of 31 deaths and 29.21% participation levels.
The biggest daily surge in the capital of 28,395 cases was recorded on April 20, 2021.
The data distributed by the State Health Department showed that Friday’s front levels were the highest since May 1, 2021 when it was 31.61%.
One reason for increasing the level of pepositives and lower daily calculations can be reduced by testing, said a senior doctor.
In the last 24 hours, only 79,578 covid tests were carried out.
From this, 64,183 tests were carried out using RT-PCR / cbnat and the rest were fast antigen tests.
On Wednesday and Thursday, the daily test is 1.05.102 and 98,832.
At present, there are 92,273 active cases, where 64,831 are in house isolation and 2,529 patients are in the hospital.
About 815 patients in oxygen support, including 99 on the ventilator.
Overall, 198 deaths were recorded in the first 14 days of January.
Most of these patients have comorbidity.
There were 130 deaths in the last six months – nine in December, seven in November, four in October, five in September and 29 in August.
In July, Covid claims 76 lives in the city.
Experts say the number of deaths can rise because acceptance increases and many patients need oxygen support or ventilators.
“At present, there is no shortage of beds.
Only 2,529 (16%) of a total of 15,478 covid beds are occupied.
ICU and ventilator bed houses are 15% and 12%,” said a senior official.
Meanwhile, to deal with the potential crisis, the Delhi government has ordered a Lok Nayak Hospital and GTB, among others, to postpone elective operations.
AIIMS Hospital, RML and Safdarjung have limited OPDs and delaying planned selection or operations up to further orders.
