Delhi: Covid Chart SOARS TO ALL-TIME DAILY HIGH

New Delhi: In the highest one-day calculation since the pandemic began, the city on Thursday reported 28,867 cases of Covid-19.
The level of participation jumped to 29.21%, the highest since 29.6% in May 3.
A total of 31 deaths were also reported.
The addition of the previous Delhi daily case was 28,395 cases on April 20 last year.
Health Minister Satyendar Jain said the increase in the number of cases could be associated with increased testing.
“The number of hospital admissions has stabilized over the past four days,” he added.
The capital currently has 94,160 Covid active cases, with 62,324 patients in house isolation, the health department said.
At present, 2,369 patients were hospitalized and 98 of them were in the support of the ventilator.
A total of 164 Covid deaths have been recorded in the first 13 days of January.
Most of these patients have comorbidity, according to government data.
The capital saw 130 deaths in the past six months – nine in December, seven in November, four September, September 29 in August and 76 in July.
On Wednesday, Delhi has recorded 40 deaths, the highest since June 10 last year, when 44 fatalities were recorded.
The city has added 23 Covid deaths on Tuesday and 17 each on Monday and Sunday.
Critical care experts say the number of deaths can rise further because reception because Covid is increasing and some patients need oxygen or ventilator support.
“Health infrastructure is not overwhelmed this time even though the number of cases is very high.
At present, 2,424 (16%) of a total of 15,433 covid beds are occupied in the city,” said a senior official.
Meanwhile, to deal with the potential of the crisis, the state government has ordered Lok Nayak Hospital and GTB to postpone elective operations.
AIIMS, RML and Safdarjung have limited the OPSD and postponed planned selection or operations.
The doctor said Covid-19 caused by the Omicron variant, which pushed the third wave of pandemics in India and other parts of the world, lightly in most patients because it only affected the upper respiratory tract.
However, they added, some patients also suffered infections in the lungs, which could cause difficulty breathing.
“People should not consider it mild.
It is important to follow the corresponding behavior of Covid to break the transmission chain,” said Drommel Tickoo, Director, Internal Medicine, Max Saket.
