Jaipur: Officer Chair of Ashok Gehlot About the Special Task (OSD) Lokes Sharma has been summoned by the Branch of Delhi (DCB) for 11 o’clock in the morning on October 21 in the telephone tapping case slapped by Union Minister Gajendra Singh Shekhawat.
Sharma received an email from DCB on Tuesday asking him to appear in their office in Delhi.
“He will discuss this case with his legal team and decide the next step whether he will go to Delhi or submit a reply from here,” said a source close to Sharma.
This is the second time he was called by DCB.
Sharma was accused of being submitted by Shekhawat on March 25 this year for a criminal conspiracy and illegally intercepting phone calls.
Previously, DCB had called him on July 26.
He then asked for 15 days of time for some personal work.
“He conveyed to DCB that he would appear through video conferencing if the visit could not be delayed or could send an answer in writing.
However, the DCB has never responded.
Since July, his encourage agent has never approached him in this case,” the source said.
The Sharma petition to cancel the FIR is waiting in the Delhi High Court and the next hearing date is January 13.
In July, the court had resisted the DCB from taking action for coercion of Sharma.
“DCB cannot take any action against it.
This step seems to be an attempt to respond to the attention of people from the upcoming Bypolls in the state when BJP struggles in both seats,” said a source.
