New Delhi: Director of Aviation Watchdog General Civil Aviation has directed the Delhi Development Authority (DDA) to reduce the height of the building and structure in four apartments – Ganga, Yamuna, Narmada and Saraswati – in the D-6 Society of Vasant Kunj.
This has made residents worry.
On August 26, DGCA gave orders to submit obstruction identified around Indira Gandhi International Airport here after a detailed survey by Delhi International Airport Limited (Dial).
“Call forward a list of buildings and structures specified as the formation of barriers (OLS) of IGI airports based on the survey conducted in 2016 to this office including buildings and structures in Ganges, Yamuna, Narmada and Saraswati as a barrier to penetrating the inner horizontal surface (IHS ) Against the top elevation permitted, “Read the DGCA final order.
Based on the final sequence of DGCA, DDA has issued a notification to the relevant department regarding the reduction of the height of four apartments.
“The final order issued by DGCA to reduce the height of the 15 numbers of the tower to be allowed in the 60 days of publishing notification or appeal to DGCA within 60 days.
This is for good information,” DDA notifications read.
Residents of the four apartments were worried after DGCA and DDA’s last commandment.
And for the Association of Resident’s Welfare (RWA) aggressively opposed orders and prepared appeal to DGCA and DDA.
RWA has shown dissatisfaction with orders about how the last command can be passed without citizen consultation.
“We have bought a house with a hard-earned money.
How can the authority continue the order unanimously? We will appeal before authority and if they don’t listen to us, then we will approach the Supreme Court,” Abhay from Rwa, Yamuna told Yamuna told Yamuna Ani.
Retired and serving IAS-IPS-IPS officers, pilots, other literary and intellectual personalities in this tower.
After order, all occupants are upset.
“These towers were built after DDA did not get an objection certificate (NOC) and now other authorities from the same government said that there was a need to reduce the height of the building.
What a mistake of the person who lives here has filled the crores of rupees in a flat? Reducing heights Also compromises the safety of the building because there is a water tank, fire tank and an elevator attached to the upper part of the building, “Ashok Pai said.
A large federation meeting consisting of residents living in Visit Vasant has been held today to take problems and see legal roads.
