Delhi: Diskom Readies plans to deal with the dangers of monsoons

New Delhi: While giving assistance from heat, Monsoon brought a series of his own problems such as waterlogging, strong winds that revoke trees and fall branches damage electrical installations which resulted in blackouts, etc.
Power Distom BBS has prepared a monsun action plan to handle this problem and also ensure that there is no incidence of electric shock.
A BSKE Discom spokesman said that the company was directed to ensure a reliable power supply for consumers while taking all the safety steps needed during the rainy season.
“Consumers can play a very important role in ensuring incident-free monsoons by following simple safety guidelines,” he said.
He said that to reduce the incidence of disorders related to moisture, steps had been taken to minimize the accumulation of moisture in the network and panel.
Discounts have increased the height of the transformer foundation in the lowland area and creates a fence around all the pedestal transformers and mounted poles.
Because of the puddle of water, the possibility of accidents related to high electricity during the monsoon and BBS has advised people to stay away from electrical installations such as poles, sub-stations, transformers, street lights, etc.
It has also warned children from playing in the water flooded.
“Get the entire cable in your place thoroughly inspected and tested by licensed electrical contractors.
