New Delhi: Wing Economic Wings (EOW) Delhi Police on Saturday said they had caught someone to cheat 13 people, including former Cricketer India Chetan Sharma, with the pretext of returning investment with them.
Police identified allegations of 53-year-old Sameesh Chawla, a Mehrauli resident in South Delhi.
The additional commissioner of the police (EOW) RK Singh said the complainants told them that Chawla and his other legs (his wife and father) delayed 13 people, including Sharma, from their money promising they were a high level of return on their year 2017.
” The victims were cheated for Rs 1.3 Crore songs, “the officer said.
The police said Chawla and family members used to captivate the victims who lived around him to invest with them.
