Delhi Excise Policy: How to Drink Experience Will Change

New Delhi: Buying liquor in Delhi promises to be a very different experience immediately with the state government excise policy for 2021-22 which states that every liquor retail vend is to provide an air-conditioned experience, walk-in without a crowd in the counter , Also, the license holder must ensure no snacks or food outlets operating right outside the store to prevent people from drinking themselves.
While the Delhi government has drifted the tender for a license for 32 zones that the new excise policy divided the city, the policy itself was included in the public domain on Monday after informing Delhi High Court.
This new policy allows bars in hotels, clubs and restaurants in Delhi to operate up to 3 in the morning and also to serve Indian or foreign liquor in any area in a licensed place, including a terrace, balcony or lower area, during the presentation of liquor rotated.
Off from public view.
Until now, the bar in restaurants and clubs was allowed to serve liquor until 1 morning and only the bar in a star hotel that could function 24×7.
The bar is also permitted to play all kinds of entertainment or performance, including music and musical instruments, dancing or singing by professionals or Deejays, Live bands and karaoke in place.
There will be no restrictions on the shelf life of liquor bottles at the bar table.
The new policy priority is to promote consumer choices and the availability of popular brands and niches.
The Delhi government also aims to curb smuggling and bootleging and ensure the deployment of adequate retail trajectories in Delhi to leave the area that is not served or too.
To ensure this, a new license – L-7z – will be given to each operator / allottee zone through e-tender and to the highest bidder per zone.
272 wards in 68 assembly constituencies are divided into 30 zones, with 9-10 wards in each zone and a maximum of 27 retail fine and an average of three retail trajectories in each environment.
Every zone operator must run two ‘mandatory vends’ in each ward allocated and the reliri left will be ‘vends freehold’ which can be run anywhere in the zone.
A total of 29 vends will be allocated for the constituency of the Cantonment Council New Delhi and Delhi and 10 retail vends will be at Indira Gandhi International Airport.
The policy states that each vend will be air-conditioned, lit and designed to provide a pleasant walking experience.
Customers will not be allowed to gather outside the vend or on the sidewalk and buy through the counter, he said.
Every customer will be given access in the vend and the entire selection and sales process must be completed in the vend, which will have closed glass doors.
The licensee must install CCTV cameras inside and outside the vend, regardless of adequate security settings because the vend itself is responsible for law and order and security around the place.
In terms of stores proving interference for the environment and complaints received by the Delhi government, the vend license is likely to be canceled.
