New Delhi: Delhi saw some concessions of the condition of “cold days” with short sunlight and increased time of time by more than two degrees Celsius on Thursday.
However, some regions, still see the condition of “cold days”, which the weather department expected to improve on Friday.
The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) expects a clearer sky and concessions of the low-lying clouds that have made shivering to the city for almost three weeks.
It also states that conditions for cold waves – minimum temperatures below four degrees Celsius – low because the area can see low wind speeds for the next three-four days.
“The ‘cold day’ condition has ended in Delhi and most of the region, including the Safdarjung base station, all recorded a mercury increase.
Only one small station shows the condition of ‘cold days’,” said IMD Scientist R K Jenamani.
“The situation will improve start Friday, there will be better weather conditions and most of the bright sky.
Early in the morning may see shallow fog, which will be followed by sunlight.” The condition of “cold day” occurs when the maximum temperature is 4.5 Nicks below the season average along with a minimum temperature below 10 degrees Celsius.
Jenamani added that Western disturbances on January 29 will not have many impacts on Delhi, but the wind speed will go down, minimize cold wave opportunities.
“There will be other Western disturbances in this region on February 2, which can cause drizzle on February 3.” On Thursday, the maximum temperature in Safdarjung was 19.1 degrees Celsius, three notches below the season average, such as against 16.4 degrees the day before.
The minimum temperature is 6.3 degrees Celsius, three degrees below the season average, compared to 5.8 degrees Wednesday.
The maximum and minimum temperature tends to float around 19 and 6 degrees Celsius on Friday.
Meanwhile, air quality continues to remain in the “poor” category.
The air quality index (AQI) was recorded at 262 with 260 on Wednesday.
For the next three days, AQI is likely to remain “poor”, stating the air quality system and weather forecasting and research.
