New Delhi: As part of the multimodial integration of the transportation service initiative, DMRC on Tuesday launched the first Fastag-based cash parking facility in the country at the Kashmere Gate Metro station that was busy in North Delhi, officials said.

The entry for two wheels can be done just by swiping the DMRC smart card.
Smart Card Swipe is only used to register the time in and out and calculate tariffs, and there is no money to be deducted from it.
Parking costs for two-wheeled parking can be paid through UPI-based applications by scanning QR codes.
In the future, payments can also be made through DMRC and NCMC (National Common Mobility Card) cards, officials said.
The Kashmere Gate Station facility is a “pilot project” under MMI DMRC, which plans to set a similar system in more parking facilities throughout Delhi-NCR, they added.
In addition, IPT Lanes for autorickshaw, taxis, and e-rickshaws at Gate number 6 and the Gate 8 number will allow a smooth movement of vehicles and increase the last military connectivity at the station, the DMRC said.
In the second phase MMI, which is being built, there will be a food court (must be established by DTIDC) and also the bus terminal (three lines with a capacity of each five buses) to be built by the DMRC, it was added.

“The cash parking project is the main step as part of the government ‘digital Indian’ initiative.
We have taken this as a pilot project.
After observing a response, we will plan a similar system in more parking facilities at our station,” The word DMRC head.
“In fact, we will explore more opportunities to go digital wherever there is a scope.
This will not only help us in modernizing facilities, but it will also help commuter save their time and facilitate the process.
Under MMI, we have many other projects.
., which will be implemented in a valuable way, “Singh said.
Both the Fastag and UPI systems were developed by NPCI.
“We love partnering with DMRC to introduce the first 100 percent digital parking plaza in the country, along with the contactless net fastaging car parking solution, at their Kashmere gate metro station.
