Delhi-Ghaziabad’s limit chokes for 5 hours

Ghaziabad: Traffic is almost not moving on the two borders of Delhi-Ghaziabad near the EDM Mall and Anand Vihar until Friday afternoon, drawing an angry reaction on the social media from the stranded commuter.
Police officers at Ghaziabad said they were arrested unconsciously with the “sudden decision” Delhi police to seal the border and take the time to divert traffic relations and facilitate growls.
However, Delhi police denied sealing the border.
“Law related to farmers and order arrangements have continued since January 26.
There is nothing new on Friday,” said Priyanka Kashyap, DCP (East).
The source said the border sidewalk was influenced considering that the blockade was suddenly by Delhi-Gurgaon’s border farmers on Thursday night.
The gate rose, a few kilometers from EDM and Borders Anand Vihar, has been a protest site for farmers supported by Rakesh Tikait-LED Bharatiya Kisan Union for the past 10 months.
Police sources said the jam was caused by a barricade placed and lasted for five hours, starting Friday afternoon.
When commuting went down to social media to vent their anger at the lack of traffic management, senior police officers rushed to the choke point.
About 200 police from the traffic department and local police station were deployed on the road to divert vehicles.
But when the traffic police can react, there is already a long tailback.
Led by Gyanendra Singh, SP (City 2), and Ramanand Kushwaha, SP (traffic), the police turned the vehicle to Anand Vihar to GT Road and Bhopura.
Those who on the way to Delhi through EDM Mall were diverted towards Sequaka, Tulsi Niketan, Loni and Noida 62.
Singh told TII they did not have previous information about Delhi police decisions.
“We have to mobilize the police and the traffic team from the local police station on the road to manage the situation,” he added.
Shashank Tripathi, a resident of Gaur City, headed to the Anand Vihar train station to bring down his sister when he was trapped in Snarl.
“We left home around 2pm, with two hours for the train departing.
Fortunately, we managed to reach the train station with only 15 minutes in hand,” he said.
Kunal, a rental accountant from Delhi, came to meet his client in Ghaziabad.
He was trapped in jam for two and a half hours.
“There is another meeting in Delhi.
But I have to cancel it,” he added.
Border jam began to subside from around 5 pm but it took longer to normalize.
