NEW DELHI: Deputy chief minister Manish Sisodia on Friday reported that a committee set up by the Delhi authorities to start looking into the deaths brought on by lack of oxygen throughout the current spike in Covid-19 instances and supply financial help of Rs 5 lakh to victims’ families will begin its work when the document is accepted by lieutenant governor Anil Baijal.
At an electronic media conference, Sisodia stated that the current tide of Covid-19 had led to a gigantic oxygen catastrophe due to which many households had lost their nearest and dearest.
“Bearing this in mindthe Delhi government made a four-member medical specialist panel together with the duty to inspect this problem and devoting Rs 5 lakh as medical help to those families that lost a member because of the oxygen catastrophe,” he explained.
Sisodia included,”Following the authorisation of the file from the board, the Delhi government has delivered the document into your LG office.
The practice of disbursal begins right after the acceptance of this LG,” he explained.
The deputy CM stated that the document was delivered into the LG office after being passed from the four-member medical practitioner committee.
“When citizens around Delhi were intensely influenced as a result of the most recent deadly tide, a lot lost a relative because of the air crisis that arose in Delhi.
Taking into consideration the seriousness of the problem, the Delhi authorities made the committee.
The board will scrutinize claims of those families that lost their nearest and dearest because of oxygen deficit twice per week and start devoting Rs 5 lakh financial help to every household,” he explained.
The committee was comprised according to an order issued May 27, which said it will approve support up to Rs 5 lakh.
This sum could be over and above the sum of Rs 50,000 that’s already assumed to be offered to families of people who flocked to Covid-19.
