New Delhi: The Delhi government has called a special assembly session on Friday to discuss important public problems.
The session will begin at 11 am and “continued until the business remained for the day it was concluded”, a bulletin issued by the declared assembly.
This session can also be extended, “subject to business urgency”, he added.
While the opposition leader Ramvir Singh Bidhuri accused “The AAP government has shrunk winter sessions into a special one-day session”, Speaker RAM Niwas Goel clarified that Friday sessions would not be a winter session.
“The winter session is likely to be held in December,” he said.
Bidhuri said the one-day session would amount to a “killing of democracy” because so many problems affect the public, such as air pollution and Yamuna, the collapse of the public transportation system, non-reduction of VAT on gasoline and diesel, and new excise policies, must be discussed and the government does not maintain Time for all these problems.
“The AAP government does not want to face the opposition at home.
This escaped from discussing the people’s problems,” the alleged BJP legislator.
The BJP legislative party meeting was held on Tuesday where MLAS said information about the session must be given 15 days before according to the rules and problems that would be raised must be invited from members.
No visitors are permitted because of a pandemic.
MLA has been asked to wear facial masks, trained to distance social and bring the final vaccination certificate as a precautionary measure against Covid-19.
They have also been asked to display their identity card while wearing a mask in the complex.
The Covid-19 negative report released is not earlier than 48 hours before the beginning of the session is also a must.
Facilities for quick antigen tests will be available at the Secretariat of the Assembly, but the members themselves must complete the RT-PCR test.
To follow the social distance norm, the existing seating area will not apply to this session.
“The chair will be for the Minister of Chief, Deputy CM, Minister, Deputy Speaker, Whip’s Head and Opposition Leader.
The members must sit at home with the first served first time,” said an official.
