Delhi Govt Caps RT-PCR for RS 300

New Delhi: The Delhi government on Thursday limits conventional RT-PCR test costs for Covid-19 detection in private hospitals and labs at Rs 300, a reduction of 40 percent of the previous level, according to orders.
The previous RT-PCR test fee is RS 500.
Rapid Antigen Test (RAT) in Private Facilities will cost Rs 100.
Previously, mice used for RS 300 fees.
According to orders, housing collections and home testing will cost RS 500 against Rs 700 previously.
In government centers and hospitals, RT-PCR and antigen tests are quickly done for free.

The department said for positive samples, the results must be updated on the ICMR portal within 30 minutes of the process being processed.
Details of all negative samples must be on the portal within 24 hours of receipt of the sample in the lab, he said.
On Thursday, Delhi reported 12,306 cases of Covid-19 fresh and 43 fatality due to viral diseases, while the level of progress fell to 21.48 percent.
Delhi has recorded 35 deaths and 13,785 cases of Covid-19 on Wednesday with a level of participation of 23.86 percent.
The city has recorded 28,867 cases of Covid-19 last Thursday, a single-day surge in the sharpest since the beginning of the pandemic.
The number then decreased to 24,383 on Friday, 20,718 on Saturday, 18,286 on Sunday, 12,527 on Monday, and 11,684 on Tuesday.
The level of participants reached 30.6 percent on Saturday, the highest in the ongoing wave of pandemic so far, 27.9 percent on Sunday, 28 percent on Monday and 22.5 percent on Tuesday.
National capital has reported a total of 17,60,272 Covid-19 cases so far.
As many as 1,66,039 patients have been restored, while the death toll because of the disease at 25,503.
