New Delhi: Raj Kumar, a music teacher from a specialized Delhi Government, Dwarka Sec-22 was awarded ‘face of the education directorate (DOE) on Saturday.
Raj Kumar also holds the Guinness Book of Records to play the zither for more than 32 hours.

Previously, Kumar served as Delhi’s South-West District Culture Secretary.
He headed the position at the Chhatrasal Stadium, Town’s model for two years after the southwestern district of it among 11 districts in cultural activities.
He even served as a coordinator for Maitreyi Yatra Government Delhi, Student Student Exchange Program Jammu & Kashmir and Delhi.
On creating the Guinness Book of Records by playing around 32 hours, said Raj Kumar, “Creating Guinness World Record is a dream for me, it is very difficult to resist old spitar.
Before me, an artist has a record for 29 hours., I believe that he believes Being next to God.

I practiced for 10-12 hours every day and the record of creation was only possible after the training hours.

During quarantine days, Raj Kumar practiced for hours which made him believe that he could break a record of 29 hours of playing around.
“During Covid-19, it is very difficult for us to teach how to play the zither to students in online class.
You can show where to keep hands, how to suppress strings, but swar can only be taught to students offline.
During the first wave Covid-19 , I was infected, so while in quarantine I got the opportunity to practice for hours, this made me believe I can break a record of 29 hours playing zither, “he added.
