New Delhi: In a step that will benefit the commercial vehicle lakh owner in the national capital, the Delhi Department of Transportation has improved the cost of issuing a speed limit device certificate in the RS 500.
Commercial vehicles require a certificate shown with a functional speed limit (also called the governor of the speed ) At the time of their fitness test.
At present, Rs 2,500 to RS 3,000 is charged to issue a speed limit device certificate.
In a command issued on Tuesday, the Department of Transportation showed that various governor’s manufacturers of speed, dealers and vendors officially charge “the amount of exorbitant” to publish speed limit device certificates and say that they will not charge more than RS 500 to issue this certificate.
Chandu Chaurasia, President of the Capital Driver’s Welfare Association, said this step will benefit around 4 Lakh commercial passenger vehicles.
“We have raised this problem that we have to pay anywhere between Rs 2,500 to RS 3,000 for this certificate.
I thank the Department of Transportation and Transportation Minister Kailash Gahlot for this decision,” he said.
The four wheels are equipped with governor speed to regulate their top speed according to traffic restrictions on different roads in the city.
