Delhi Govt to resend files on the death of oxygen probe to LG

New Delhi: Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia on Thursday said that it would be very difficult to ascertain whether oxygen-related deaths occurred during the second Covid-19 wave without probe.
In a letter to the Ministry of Health Union, Mansukh Mandaviya, Sisodia stated that the Delhi government once again sent files to Lieutenant Governor of Anil Baijal to approve the establishment of a health expert committee to investigate death.
He also urged Mandaviya to tell LG so that the file was not rejected.
“The Delhi government is ready to investigate the deaths that occur due to lack of oxygen.
This investigation will be carried out with full responsibility.
After forming a health expert committee, death will be ordered as early as possible and the government will take the necessary steps and also tell the central government Facts, “said Sisodia.
On Wednesday, Mandaviya had tweeted that the ministry had sent a letter to the Delhi government on July 26 which was looking for details of death caused by lack of oxygen, medicines or medical equipment.
Sisodia has answered that in the communication received by the Delhi government on July 26, the center has given time until the next day to submit data, the frame of time is only 12-14 hours.
It was never mentioned that the data could be submitted on August 13, he added.
“Will be wrong to assume that there is no death due to lack of oxygen during the second wave of Covid-19 in Delhi.
We must admit that there is death due to lack of oxygen,” said Sisodia during a digital press conference, added that more than 25,000 people had died in Delhi At the moment.
CM representatives accused that the previous center had adopted a very irresponsible and insensitive attitude and refused to accept that there was death due to lack of oxygen in this country.
“If there is no death caused by lack of oxygen, are all hospitals that send SOS messages lying?” He asked.
Sisodia said that after Reguke Court, the center now requested data from the state government.
When Delhi’s Government formed a high-level investigation committee of health experts to investigate death due to lack of oxygen and compensate for 5 lakh rs to the families of the victims, the central government rejected the committee through LG, adding Deputy CM.
