Delhi Govt to wait & watch before reducing the sidewalk: Jain

New Delhi: Although the level of covid-19 in the national capital has seen swimming from 30%, the Health Minister Satyendar Jain said on Wednesday that the decline trend must be observed for three four days before making decisions about easing covid restrictions can be taken.
The city has reached the top of the third wave of Covid-19 cases, he added.
“While the level of participants has risen to 30%, it has now dropped to around 22.5%.
The number of cases also dropped,” Jain said early on Wednesday.
“However, the level of progress is not so low so we can open everything.
We have to wait for time,” he added.
The level of participation is 27.87% on Sunday, after going up to more than 30% for two consecutive days.
On Tuesday, it fell to 22.47%, but increased to 23.86% on Wednesday.
Jain said that for the past seven days, the daily acceptance almost stopped because the bed did not increase.
“This is a clear sign that the level of prospective will go down.
There is a downward trend,” he said, adding that the limit could be reviewed only after a strong dip.
On whether Delhi plans to reopen schools like Mumbai, who also witnessed swimming in cases, Jain insisted that first must be ascertained that the sauce was there to stay.
“It should be at least half of it (30%),” he said.
“We hope it goes down as soon as it jumps.
Let’s wait for three per four days and see how quickly it subsides.” The minister said the next meeting of Delhi Disaster Management Authority (DDMA) would be announced immediately after the decision was taken.
A Delhi government official said, “it will still take the time to the level of the position to fall to 10-15%.
Restrictions will be appointed in reverse order where they are implemented.” After closing the school, cinema room, fitness center etc.
