New Delhi: Chief Spokesman for AAM AAM AADMI (AAP) and MLA Saurabh Bharadwaj on Saturday accused the Party of Bharatiya Janata (BJP) Corporations Municipal Delhi will ‘loot’ Rs 1,197 Crore from the General Provident Fund (GPF) account of the city employees.
BJP said that the accusation was ‘unfounded’.
“After the MCD trifurbation, the North corporation has accumulated 1,232 crore Rs.
This money does not belong to the company, but to employees.
This is part of their salary cut for payment at their retirement,” Bhardwaj said.
“BJP-led companies swallowed all the money and the account now only has RS 6 Crores left in it,” he thought.
Bharadwaj said the money was paid before trifurbation around RS 1,197 Crore, which, he claimed, the three companies had decided to divide by themselves.
Delhi spokesman BJP Praveen Shankar Kapoor said that the integrated MCD was left to be three civil bodies in 2012 and employees were given the opportunity to choose from the company and since then, they received their salaries and retirement from the corporation they worked below.
“Unfortunately, the GPF is not distributed among the three companies, which has now been done and fully justified,” he said, adding that no one can withdraw cash from the GPF, and so there is no question that is sucked.
