New Delhi: Delhi High Court on Tuesday allows time to use Hookah Herbal in restaurants and pubs in the national capital, saying that Covid-19 restrictions cannot be allowed to continue the cost of livelihoods.
Judge Rekha Palli, who heard a collection of requests by several restaurants and bars on sales prohibitions or Hookah Herbal Services, said that the prohibition applied due to a pandemic “could not last forever” and noted that the authorities had already allowed the cinema and pool room to function on Full capacity.
The court clarified that it gave permission as a temporary assistance and the same thing submitted to the applicant who provided the business that they would strictly follow the appropriate Covid-19 behavior while serving Hookah Herbs.
“Submitting to the applicant who filed a business, until the next hearing date, the respondent (Delhi government) will refrain from disrupting Hookah’s herbal services,” said the judge.
“In terms of changes in the Covid-19 situation, respondents will be Liberty to move to court,” he added.
The court directed the Delhi government to submit his response to the petition and asked him to “receive a call” if the restaurant and other bar approached him to permission to serve Herbal Hookah with Compliance with the Covid-19 protocol.

The High Court previously directed the Delhi government to reconsider the prohibition and submit a written statement.

The court was told that under the last order on October 14, the Delhi government has decided to continue the ban on the use of hookah, with and without tobacco namely Herbal Hookah, water pipelines, and other hookah devices, in all public places including hotels, restaurants, pubs, etc.
