New Delhi: The Delhi High Court on Wednesday rejected the request to challenge DDMA’s decision that prohibits worshipers from doing Chhat Puja on the edge of Yamuna.

“They did not provide an explanation of why they did not approach responders if they wanted to have additional designated sites in the area even after the list of designated sites was published,” said the court.
It was said to the Petitioner’s community, who claimed to regulate various social and religious functions, free to approach the Delhi government to ask additional sites in the Sonia Vihar and Wazirabad regions but even after November 6, when the list on their site was published, they made no steps.
