New Delhi: Delhi High Court has denied anticipatory guarantees to a senior naval officer, accused of raping a woman with the pretext of marrying her, noting that she was suspected of trying to influence her colleagues in the investigation and had destroyed evidence of it.
The High Court also said the accusation was by the defendant that the woman extorted her money from her causing “more pain in the injury”.
“No doubt, the victim is an educated woman, but is a person who is immune to cheating The court said the fact showed the man and the woman had a relationship to turn on hope in her that she would marry her by all means, which was not logical for her to think so.
“Can he be allowed to play with his dignity with the pretext that he cohabitit with him just for fun and then claiming he squeezed money from him.
Such accusations if not supported by proof somewhat insulting,” said the judge.

According to the woman, a complainant, the defendant determined his physical relationship between December 2019 and January 2020 concerning Marriage appointments.
