New Delhi: Shakuntala is 18 years old when married to a man, Ravi Kumar, 22, against his wishes.
He dated a young man at the time and hatched the plot to eliminate her husband.
They strangled the man in 2011 and buried the body in Alwar where Shakuntala’s boyfriend had a business.
This case was immediately transferred to a branch of crime because the local police failed to make a breakthrough.
The suspects then explored the body and threw the remnants of the distribution of 70 km between Alwar and Rewari thought that the police would not be able to build murder with the absence of the body.
For 10 years, Shakuntala managed to play cats and mice with the police.
A year after the murder, he began living with his girlfriend, Kamal Singla, in Rajasthan.
In 2017, both were married, safe in confidence that the heat died.
However, the police have not given up.
Tipping by relatives, they managed to track couples in Rajasthan in 2019 and arrested Singla from their homes.
However, Shakuntala managed to give them slips again.
Manhunt finally ended up with a branch of the crime that manages to catch Shankuntala, now 28, after another tip-off with an acquaintance blew the cover.
According to the Joint Commissioner (crime) Alok Kumar, the police have announced a rs of 50,000 rs for his arrest.
Kumar said that when Shakuntala returned to Alwar, the police from Squad Special Operations-II received a tip-off about the area where he might stay.
“The team spent almost two weeks in Alwar and conducted a door-to-door investigation and finally tracked it on July 17.
He was produced in front of the court and had been taken on two days back for interrogation,” Kumar added.
During his initial question, Shakuntala was claimed to have told the police that his first husband, Ravi, had to know about his affair with Singla and had placed his restrictions outside the home or talking on the phone.
So, he hatched the plot with Singla to get rid of it.
On March 22, 2011, he asked Ravi to take him to his sister’s house in the Samalakha area.
Singla met them in the middle of the road and they strangled Ravi with a rope.
They went to Rajasthan with the body and buried him there.
Initially, Ravi was supposed to be lost and the kidnapping case was only registered on April 16.
When his family suspected cheating, this case was transferred to a crime after that Shakuntala went underground.
