New Delhi: Thirty-two people were arrested after illegal casinos running on the top floor of a building in Dwarka Mor Delhi southwest damaged at the early hours of Tuesday.
The police have confiscated more than 44 liters of liquor than the cash of RS 4 Lakh and the loaded revolver.
The police were told about the casino while patrolling around 1.20 in the morning.
According to DCP Shankar Chaudhary, the attack was carried out around 2am after a tip-off of the informant.
A team led by ACP Ravinder Singh and Sho Rajesh Maurya formed after the informant said the casino was being managed from a building near Metro Pillar Number 772.
On the top floor, the team found a large billiard table surrounded by men and women who held cash, tokens and playing cards.
“As soon as the police entered, they threw their cash on the table and started running here and there.
However, the team managed to defeat them all.
Their details were obtained and verified,” DCP added.
The investigation has revealed that the alleged kingpin from the illegal betting place was Yogesh Gehlot, a resident of Navada Village who had been arrested.
Arrest includes three women.
Most of them live within a 10 km of the place.
Police said one of the accused had a revolver and six rounds of Live, and claimed that it was a licensed weapon.
More than 44 liters of liquor, cash calculation machines, chips, tokens, registers and slip are found.
Three cases have been registered.
