New Delhi: After the commission for air quality management in NCR and adjacent areas ordered many steps to overcome air pollution, the Minister of Environment Gopal Rai on Wednesday said the fire tender would be deployed to pour water in 13 hotspots throughout the city.
13 hotspots include Rohini, Dwarka, Okhla Phase-II, Punjabi Bagh, Anand Vihar, Vivek Vihar, Wazirpur, Jahangirpuri, R K Puram, Bawana, Narela and Mayapuri.
“In addition to 372 current water tankers operating in Delhi, fire service tenders will be deployed to increase spraying capacity in 13 hotspots where the level of pollution is relatively higher,” Rai said.
After meeting with various departments, Rai said the Delhi government had come with a 10-point formula to fight pollution at a larger level.
The Department of Environment on Wednesday ordered all departments, organizations and companies to apply the direction of CAQM.
“The concerned head or corporate department will closely monitor all situations personally every day and submit a report taken every day,” he said.
“All Delhi’s government offices will have 100% of work from home.
The instructions have been given to the police to form a special task force to monitor traffic congestion, curl pollution on the road and ensure a finer trip.
