New Delhi: To get popularity, such as criminals they saw in the film, three teenagers killed a man in Jahangirpuri Northwest Delhi on Wednesday and recorded random actions on video clips.
They want to upload videos on Instagram but the law follows them.
On Wednesday, the police received information from the BJRM Hospital that a young man named Shibu, 24, a worker who lived in Jahangirpuri, had been treated with stab wounds in the stomach.
After he died in the hospital, the police registered a murder case under the 302 part of the Indian criminal code.
Usha Rangnani, DCP (North-West), said CCTV footage showed three young people in a fight with Shibu.
“We understand the three boys,” said Rangnani.
“One of them is around 15 years old, 16 and the third, 17.5 years.” According to officers, the three were influenced by a large gangster lifestyle that was full of adventurous and glamorous in films such as Pushpa and Bhaukaal and wanted to be like them.
“One of them raises the appearance and style of running from Pushpa,” said Rangnani.
“They formed a gang named Badnam and decided to kill someone so they could upload a video of murder on Instagram.
They want to get fame on social media and in the circle of their friends.” Around 14:00 on Wednesday, looking for the victim, the three reached Block K in Jahangirpuri.
They saw Shibu sitting in the park.
“They provoked the young man by throwing something to him, and when he hated him,” DCP said.
One of the defendants began filming the incident while the other two struggled by Shibu.
“Then when someone holds a young man from behind, the other beat him with a stick and the third child stabbed Shibu with a dagger,” said a police officer.
They escaped from the point after that.
The cellphone where the video killing attack was recorded and weapons of violations, daggers, had recovered.
An investigation officer said the three attackers were drop out of school.
“They formed the gang last year.
One of them was previously arrested in a criminal case and released recently,” the officer said.
The police have also recovered several other videos from their social media profiles.
