New Delhi: Two days after a 45-year-old man was shot dead in an advocate room at the Dwarka Court complex, lawyer, his driver and the other two were arrested for allegedly killing the man and destroying evidence by cleaning the crime of the scene.
Police said the advocate, Arun Sharma, had lied to the hospital staff where he rushed to be a victim, Swikar Luthra, stated that the two people shot him in court.
The recording of the CCTV camera located outside the lawyer room shows the four men removing Luthra’s body, cleaning the crime scene and hiding weapons.
Luthra was arrested in 2016 to run a fake coin racket.
He came out with a guarantee and came to meet Sharma around 9pm with his friend Pradeep.
Then, he called Darshan, a car driver involved in the case of theft, to the room.
The Sharma Rohit driver also sat in the room and the fifth of them drank.
Some of them have criminal antecedents.
DCP (Dwarka) Santosh Meena said, “Born on Tuesday, Pradeep, who escaped since the incident, was also Nabbed.
The fourth, including Sharma, Rohit and Darshan, had been arrested.
The gun used in the crime, which was accused of claims belonging to the deceased, confiscated from the lawyer room.
The murder case has been registered.
“The investigation revealed that Sharma and the others have signed a report on the Medico-Law case.
It came forward that Pradeep had a fight with Luthra and during the next fight took his weapon and shot him.
A bullet hit Luthra on his backbone and he fainted.
After cleaning the scene, the defendant took Lutra to the hospital and cooked a story to tell the police.
Meanwhile, Pradeep escaped.
