NEW DELHI: The feasibility of 1,000 low-floor buses by Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC) was placed on hold after a query set up by lieutenant governor Anil Baijal following Bharatiya Janata Party MLA Vijender Gupta alleged irregularities in the procedure.
The transportation department has requested DTC to stay in abeyance the procurement procedure and their yearly maintenance contract (AMC) till further orders.
Gupta had composed to the LG to a question, saying that at January 2021, Delhi authorities had put a job order for 1,000 low-floor buses costing Rs 890 croreout of which the arrangement for 700 buses had been granted to a manufacturer.
He stated that as well as the buy order, the tender for AMC was handed to the identical supplier.
