New Delhi: The 31-year-old elevator operator was found dead in the South Delhi Southern Saket Complex on Saturday.
The police said about 9.41 in the morning they received a PCR call about the body lying on the seventh floor of the building.
“A team rushed to place.
During the probe we found that one Akash, who worked as a sweeper, found the body on the seventh floor (close to the fire out of the fire) building,” the officer said.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Benita Mary Jaiker said that the body identified Yogesh Kumar, the native of Aligarh and worked as an elevator operator.
He lives in the Dakshinpuri area.
“He worked with a private company in Hauz typical of the last around four years.
The company is engaged to PWD to supply labor for maintaining the building of the court complex,” he added.
Probes further revealed that Kumar was a habit drinker.
“For the past 3-4 days, he was not on duty.
Our probe revealed that he had never served right on his assignment, why he was not deployed as an elevator operator and was given a cleaning job by his supervisor,” the officer said.
According to the police, crime and the forensic team have examined the place.
“There is no rotten game suspected because they have not found an external injury to the body.
The deceased’s mother has been told telepathy,” the officer said.
The body has been sent to AIIMS for postmortem and the process below part 174 CRPC is being started.
