Delhi: Light to moderate tends to be 3 days ahead

New Delhi: After a warm week that has seen a touch mercury of 38 degrees Celsius – four notches above normal – the pause is expected from Thursday with a very mild rain for the city.
The Indian Meteorology Department (IMD) estimates moderate rainfall for Friday, with a good spell on Friday night and early on Saturday.
Meeting the officials said the rainy season that shifted to the foot of the hill had moved back to the South once again, with the rain expected next week too.
“Delhi is through a dry mantra because the rainstar trough touches the foot of the hill.
At present, he has moved to the south of Delhi and can move further before returning closer to the city,” said Kuldeep Srivastava, scientist at the comm.
“Puncak rainfall activity is estimated on Friday night and on Saturday morning, while light rain and drizzle are expected on Thursday and Friday,” he added.
The capital records a maximum temperature of 38 degrees Celsius on Wednesday, the same as Tuesday.
The complex sports station in East Delhi is the hottest location in the capital, with a maximum of 39.7 degrees, followed by Pitampura at 39.
IMD said Mercury is expected to fall to around 36 degrees Celsius on Thursday and 33 on Friday.
On Saturday, the maximum can drop to 32 degrees; However, the moisture level will remain high.
The last Delhi recorded rainfall on August 9.
This means Safdarjung, Delhi base station, only receives 63.2 mm rainfall as far as this month compared to a normal sign of 157.1mm – put it into a 60% deficit for that month.
Normal mark for August is 247.7mm.
Meet officials said while recovery is expected in the last 10 days of August, the capital can still remain in the deficit for that month.
