New Delhi: Delhi Timur District Administration finally issued a declaration to obtain two remaining land patches because the third phase of the project barapullah remained trapped.
Legaran high is being built in this phase to provide connectivity between Mayor Vihar Phase I and Sarai Kale Khan.
Officials Revenue Department said land will be obtained in three phases and hearings and appreciation for land will be issued in the next step.
If everything goes according to plan, construction work in the remaining two patches can begin in the next five or six months.
The 3.5k-length corridor will be associated with flyovers near Sarai Kale Khan.
A senior government official said that the declaration was issued on August 27 and notice to individual owners would be issued.
“Usually, the next process can take up to one year, but we target to accelerate the award process in the next four months for this important infrastructure project.” The land acquisition process began after the preliminary notification, which was followed by the declaration, both of which had finished, the official added.
“In the next step, we will issue a notification and collector will hold hearing with stakeholders.
In September, all records will be updated,” he said.
“The notification process will require a three-week period.
In the third month, the audience will be held and the process will be completed in the fourth month.” The land acquisition process begins by the Delhi government in 2015 after the Phase III of the barapullah project was launched.
The relegated road construction began in April 2015 and must be completed in October 2017.
The Public Works Department official said that even after submitting the ground patch, it would require at least 18 months to complete the missing link.
“The roads that are elevated have been connected with Sarai Kale Khan and Phase Mayur Vihar I, but the missing link 790m was present because of the issue of land acquisition,” the official added.
PWD needs to make four stages of the Foundation in the Yamuna floodland where a total of 8.5 hectares of land are needed, officials clarify.
Barapullah Phase III will increase connectivity between Nizamuddin Nizamuddin Central, South and New Bridges, Bhairon Marg and Ashram Chowk on the Ring Road.
It’s likely to cut the travel time between East and South Delhi for about 20 minutes.
