Delhi log tally covid highest 1 day in 6 months

New Delhi: The National Capital on Friday recorded 180 fresh covid cases, the highest single-day hike since June 16, and zero death.
The level of prospitution, at 0.29%, is the highest in the last five months, according to the Department of Health data.
On June 16, the city recorded 212 cases of Covid-19.
The three new Covid-19 cases caused by the Omicron variant were also confirmed, taking the total number of such cases in the city to 67.
After Maharashtra, Delhi has recorded the maximum number of cases with very transmission omicrons.
This variant is allegedly behind an increase in virus infection incidents over the past two weeks.
Delhi has witnessed the uptick in Coronavirus Novel’s recent infection in the midst of the many new Omicron variants.
It reported 125 cases on Wednesday, which was the highest daily count since June 22.
The level of pepositives is 0.2%.
On Thursday, the number of new cases reached 118 with a level of 0.19%, while one death was reported.
The total number of cases reported in Delhi because the pandemic has reached 14,42,813, where 14.16 lakh has recovered.
Toll death stands at 25,103.
Five deaths have been reported in December so far.
Seven deaths were reported in November, four in October and five in September.
In the last 24 days, the data distributed by the government showed that Delhi had recorded an average of 78 Covid cases every day, the highest in the past four months.
In August, September, October and November, Delhi recorded an average of every day 48, 37, 32 and 35 cases.
At present, there are 782 active cases, where 227 is in the hospital.
Public health experts say cases can rise in the coming days because of the spread of new variants.
Calling people to support the steps of placing a new variant and holiday season, the World Health Organization (WHO) on Friday said the whole threat caused by Omicron will also depend on how people feel the risks and follow preventative measures.
