New Delhi: Delhi-London Air India flights, who will depart from IGI airport here at 2pm, Monday, delayed for more than three hours after a bunch of ants found in business class, said source.
AI-111 flights depart from Delhi airport at around 5:20 a.m.
instead of departure time at 2pm, they said.
According to sources, ants found in the business class section just before the plane will take off for London.
The plane was then replaced by other Boeing 787-8 aircraft.
Air India did not respond to PTI’s request for a statement about this problem.
Similar incidents have occurred on May 27 when Air India flights to Newark in the US must return to Delhi Airport after members of the cabin crew see the bat flying in the plane right after taking off.
The pilot then told the air traffic controller about mammals and the plane turned around.
After the plane landed on the night of May 27 and everyone came out of the plane, the Boeing B777-300ER was fumigated and the bat was dead, after the restored caress from the eighth row of business classes.
